This four-part monthly series will explain how to identify provider burden, measure provider satisfaction, and improve satisfaction using health information technology (HIT) interventions. Presented by HITEQ, this series will also provide ways these skills can be expanded beyond the providers into the care team. The intended audience for this series is HIT C-suite staff and clinical leads. It will be offered to both CHAD members and members of the Great Plains Health Data Network.

Identifying and Assessing Provider Satisfaction 
September 10, 2020 | 1:00 - 2:00 PM MT/ 2:00 - 3:00 PM CT

 

In this first meeting of the series, Jillian Maccini of HITEQ will provide a review of the chosen provider assessment and discuss how and which EHR factors can be included in assessing provider satisfaction. Participants will learn how to establish a baseline and how to identify other signs and symptoms of provider burden. The meeting will conclude with a discussion of pre-survey distribution.




Improving Provider Satisfaction with Health Information Technology (HIT)
October 27, 2020 | 1:00 - 2:00 PM MT/ 2:00 - 3:00 PM CT

 

During this session, participants will learn to interpret the assessment and EHR data and develop a plan to improve provider satisfaction using data and best practices. The group will discuss selecting a HIT intervention based on the data and when and how often to distribute the post-survey.


Provider Satisfaction Measures and Incentives 
November 19, 2020 | 1:00 - 2:00 PM MT/ 2:00 - 3:00 PM CT

 

During the third session, the speaker will discuss examples of provider incentives and how to use UDS productivity and assessment data to identify opportunities for provider incentives. Participants will learn when and how to re-evaluate provider satisfaction and how to take additional action or maintain changes. Members will be asked to share some of the provider incentives they have implemented in their organizations.


 

Expanding to Care Team Satisfaction 
December 9, 2020 | 1:00 - 2:00 PM MT/ 2:00 - 3:00 PM CT

 

In this final session, the group will discuss skills and best practices learned throughout the series and how to expand and implement incentive programs within care teams.
